The Wellness Test Panel 5 consists of a wide range of lab tests and adds on to the tests offered in Wellness Test Panel 4 by including the free T3 test, free T4 test, total T3 test, total T4 test and TPO test
T3 and T4 are important hormones produced by the thyroid and convey information about how effectively it is functioning. These particular tests measure the total T3 and T4 levels in addition to the amount of free, or biologically available, T3 and T4 hormones circulating in the blood. Also, the Wellness Test Panel 5 measures TPO antibody levels - a test which checks if the immune system is producing antibodies which might be impacting the function of the thyroid gland.
What is tested in the Wellness Test Panel 5?
The Wellness Test Panel 5 measures the CBC with differential, comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), hemoglobin A1c, homocysteine, iron & TIBC, lipid panel, magnesium, phosphorus, free & total T3, free & total T4, thyroid peroxidase (TPO) antibodies, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), vitamin B12, vitamin D & zinc blood levels.
